It never ceases to amaze me just how many people will start the journey to a web site by FIRST going to Google, and THEN typing in the web site address into Google’s search box.

I’ve been sitting beside some people, who on the outside seem like fairly normal and intelligent folk, who when I tell them to go to a web site address, like say www.gmoneypro.com, will immediately open their browser, get their Google homepage up and type that exact address, www.gmoneypro.com, in the search box of Google instead of just typing it in the address bar of their browser.

It’s crazy.

It’s also free unnecessary traffic for Google and their AdWords.

But here’s how you can benefit from it…

Pop over to Alexa.com and view the top 500 web sites on the planet and then find one or more from that list that offer affiliate programs.

Once you have a site or two that you can get paid for referring people to, you can then simply go about either writing a blog post about the site or creating a web page for it.

Here’s the trick.

When people type a web site address into Google, they most likely will get the actual site as a first result, HOWEVER, they will also get other pages listed underneath.

For example, if someone went looking for (this is hypothetical) www.superpuppyweightlossdietformula.com by typing that address into Google’s search box, they’d likely see that site as the first result, HOWEVER if your site is one or two posts below and is called “www.superpuppyweightlossdietformula.com Discount!”, there is a really good chance you’ll get some of those people clicking on your link instead and then clicking on your affiliate links on your site.

The key is, you MUST use the full web address (url) in the title of your page or post (e.g. www.thefullsitename.com) along with some sort of reason for the searcher to click your link instead of the site one (e.g. Discount! Free Info!, Personal Review!, Coupon!).

What’s great about this trick is that you can get a fairly decent placement on Google for the site you’re targetting in almost no time at all.

Now, be warned, this won’t work very well for exceptionally competitive markets and sites, and it also won’t work for mega sites like eBay.com or Google.com, but it does work for sites that are up and comers, which is exactly what you should be focusing on if you want to make money online!
