AffiliateTips.com Reveals The Best Affiliate Programs

Posted by Stewart in Reviews

So, you have a web site. You work hard to make sure the content is worthwhile for visitors and now you’re starting to get some traffic.

Hey, you’ve got traffic! Traffic can turn into money! So, now you start looking around for some affiliate programs that will turn those eyes into dollars in your pocket. But with thousands of affiliate programs out there, how do you know which are the best?

There used to be a time when you just had to suck it up and do some legwork. You had to troll the web to find some decent looking programs and then go through a process of trial and error to find out which affiliate program would give you the best conversion and the highest payout.

Those days are gone, my friend.

The site AffiliateTips.com was recently brought to my attention and it is an affiliate directory that is a WEALTH of information on affiliate programs. Sure, CJ.com lists a ton of information, but CJ.com is in it for CJ.com. AffiliateTips.com is in it for you…well, probably not just you, but they do offer some affiliate reviews of the affiliate programs listed.

The reviews are brief but provide enough information about each program to allow you to make an informed decision about who should take up that valuable real estate on your site.

There is also a handy section of the site that has all of the affiliate programs organized into tidy little categories. That makes finding the perfect match for your site a lot easier.

One particularly interesting category is the education affiliate programs. This is a section of the market that I think is often overlooked. People are always looking for ways to improve their skillset or just make more money…especially in these current rocky economic times.

AffiliateTips.com also offers some handy tools such as revenue calculators and spreadsheets that just need your details to be entered.

Take a peek at AffiliateTips.com and save yourself some time when choosing your next affiliate links.

Tiny Massive Yankee Canuck

Posted by Stewart in Reviews

I was asked by Kate Hiscox to check out a new widget by TinyMassive.com. So, being a good Canadian boy, I did.

TinyMassive.com is an all-female tech team, based in both the US of A and Canada, who have put together a price compariosn widget to place on your site. It’s the very same one you see on the sidebar of this site right now.

So, why would you add it to your site?

Well, for one thing it’s dynamic. I’ve chosen to have the most popular products show up, but you can also choose to specify only the products you want, or you can have it relate to the content on your page (I think I’ll try that next).

Dynamic content like that keeps people interested. And it’s a pretty widget as well.

(I’ve re-written this following bit…thanks to some clarification from Kate.)

As well, it’s a pay-per-click system that also pays you 10% of earnings from sites you refer.
Their site claims that that has been adding up to about $6 CPM for some of their widget users.

Is that an amazing deal? No, not really, but it is a no-brainer way for a lot of people to monetize their sites or blogs by only pasting in a little bit of code.

If you’re looking for a way to quickly add some good-looking and possibly money-earning content for your site or blog, check them out: www.TinyMassive.com

Sneaky Affiliate Cheat Revealed

Posted by Stewart in Reviews

I was sent an email from Rob Benwell of Blogging To The Bank about a new eBook called Sneaky Affiliate Cheat. It promised to divulge some secret tactics to really supercharge your affiliate commissions.

Though I’m not really into creating affiliate sites, I am into learning as much as I can about the different ways there are online to make money.

If someone knows a secret way to increase the amount of money I can make online, I want to know about it!

When you get to the Sneaky Affiliate Cheat sales page there’s quite a bit the usual rhetoric about how reading this eBook will change your life forever and minutes after you apply the outlined techniques you’ll be living in a mansion and driving a rolls royce. Well, that’s the usual crap that goes along with these sorts of breathless sales pages.

The good news is that there are some actually very good tips in this Sneaky Affiliate CheateBook.

From Link Cloaking to some dodgy info about cookie stuffing (dangerous to do, good to know), the book actually reads very well and comes across as a straight-shooting guide on how you can increase your affiliate sales.

Is it worth the $99 price tag? No. But you can get $30 off if you try to click away from the page first. A fake live chat agent window will pop up and offer you a discount (I think she likes you).

Blogging To The Bank 2.0 Review

Posted by Stewart in Reviews

You know how you see those infomercials on late night tv? The ones where its some short guy on a yacht surrounded by hot babes in bikinis and he’s telling you how YOU can be rich just like him if you just sign-up for his course, or buy his books on tape?

Blogging To The Bank 2.0 is that short guy on a yacht.

I bought Rob Benwell’s BTTB eBook last week. I read it the same day.
Am I a fast reader? No. Definitely not.
It’s a short book.

Blogging To The Bank 2.0 is essentially a guide for those starting from square one and who want to start their own blog sites and start earning affiliate sales.

It isn’t the best writing you’ll ever read, but it is fairly straight-forward. Rob’s tone is casual and helpful as he pulls out tip after tip from his bag of tricks.

For an added treat you get some videos of Rob’s screen as he visually takes you through some of the points in the BTTB ebook. I did find the fact that Rob’s voice sounded just like David Platt’s from Coronation Street a bit distracting, but in an entertaining way.

Should You Buy Blogging To The Bank 2.0?

Hmmm. Well, for those people who have been online for a few years and have their own sites, no. I don’t think there is anything in this book that you don’t already know.

For those of you just starting out, YES. It is a great way to see how someone who is solely focused on online profits through affiliate sales works.

This eBook is no way near the quality of the SEO Book by Aaron Wall, but it’s a different angle on online marketing and it might add to your toolkit for how to make money online.

The Reason Your Site Is Not Making Money

Posted by Stewart in Reviews

I often get asked what it takes to make a successful site. When they say “successful” they mean “what do I need to do to make a lot of money online?”

There was a time about 10 to 12 years ago where all it took was a viral idea, a basic web site and a decent mailing list. Those days are long gone.

The competition for attention online is fierce. It doesn’t always follow that a great idea will generate its own attention. Just like the real world, you need profile.

Offline profile is normally generated through the media. Television, radio, newspapers and magazines, etc..

Online profile can be aided immensely by those same things, but the most important element in a quest for profile is making sure your site shows up prominently in search engine results for the keywords people, or customers, will use to find what you’re offering.

Getting to the top of the search results for the keywords you need to, isn’t always an easy task. Who am I kidding, it’s hardly ever an easy task.

Everything from domain age, to keyword copy, to page structure, to WHO links to you counts when sites like Google decide where to place you in search results.

If you’re like most folk, it’s all just one more thing you don’t want to have to learn and you may as well pay someone else to do it for you (like me).

If you’re fairly savvy online and with web design, you can take a stab at it yourself, but I guarantee you will save HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS or even MONTHS of leg work if you read Aaron Wall’s SEO Book.

Aaron has been at the top of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) game since 2004. He knows all of the tricks and has all the skills and tools required to make any site a winner in serch results.

I just finished reading Aaron’s book this past weekend. It’s no quick read. At over 350 pages (and growing with continual updates), it is truly a scholastic work.

The great thing about SEO Book is that Aaron takes all of the things you MUST know about SEO and lays them out in an entertaining and manner. What’s even better is that he’s a nice guy. When I’ve emailed him, he replies quickly and courteously. He’s a good guy.

The price you pay for his book is NOTHING compared to the value of the knowledge you will gain, not to mention the value you will see in terms of actual dollars for your site.

Check out SEO Book now and save yourself tons of time!
